So first things today is a little Q & A post, I have received a lot of emails lately regarding my blog and feel this would be the best place to get them all answered at once.
Q. How do you get books for review?
A. Not all the books I receive are from publishers for review, many of them I buy myself and review them as its something I love to do.The publishers I do receive books from are ones I have built an understanding with after previous correspondences. they understand I don't rely on any books they choose to send me and when I do receive a little package of unexpectedness it feels nice and makes me smile. If you have a stable blog and good views contact some publishers for review books but I wouldn't suggest starting a blog just for the purpose of getting free books.... its just not right. It takes a lot of time and effort keeping a blog perky and interesting, and publishers will use the sites that look promising.
Q. How do you manage to do so many giveaways?
A. I'm lucky, I have been running a book club for a while and I occasionally get gifts or discounts from book shops in my area as i send a lot of business there way. I also don't mind spending the money from my own pocket as its like giving something back. Its my little way of saying thankyou.
Q How do you mange to keep on top of life with 2 toddlers? I hardly have chance to pick up a book never mind write in a blog.
A. Hehe I get asked this a lot, not just by blog readers but by friends too. The truth is I don't know. My daughters wake at 6.30am and sleep at 7 pm, I sneak in reading time whenever they are occupied with toys, TV, colouring or sitting in the garden. The cleaning is done as soon as i wake up and the cooking is done at midday, when they go to bed its my time, so that's when i blog(if i haven't already) and read. I really am a busy mom :o)
Q. What inspired your blog design?
A. I love simplicity, I think it describes me best, I'm bubbly but simple it takes alot to wipe me out. I designed the header myself and the rest was done with the lovely new blogger designer. I would love to add a Navigation bar if anyone can help me with that
