Where We Read - Isalys & Vanessa from Book Soulmates

(Isalys(left in blue) Vanessa(right in black).)
Can you tell us a little about Book Soulmates?
We met through a mutual friend in 2008 at a birthday dinner for Isalys. You can say we met through fondue and bonded through books! Not only are our birthdays 2 days apart, but we're both voracious readers and love to learn, especially about History. We soon began our ritual of meeting at Barnes & Nobles every week to hang out and see what new books are on the shelves. One day, we ran into Nely from All About {n} who told us about this cool thing called 'blogging'. Anyhoo, we decided to get in on this blogging thing and thus Book ♥ Soulmates was born! We called it Book ♥ Soulmates because we truly consider ourselves book soulmates.
Where is your favorite reading spot?
Isalys
I have two reading spots. My usual nighttime spot to read is on my blue couch in the living room. I have the lamp next to me for lighting and sometimes I'll light a candle. I grab a blanket, my chihuahua Toby and a snack and read until I can't keep my eyes open anymore. During the week, I try to read some during lunch, but nighttime is really the best time for me.
However, during Summer (if it's not too hot of course) I love to lounge in my backyard. I like to relax on the chaise lounge with a book on my lap and a glass of iced tea enjoying some quiet time.

Vanessa
My favorite reading spot is my bed... BUT... since I don't want to show the whole blogging world my not so cool, super hot pink ink stained bed.... I'll instead show you my favorite reading spot when I went on vacation to the Smokey Mountains, North Carolina :)
Why do you like to read there?
Isalys
I like this spot because the couch in my blue living room is so comfortable and that room is so peaceful. Reading is a selfish hobby. I like to be alone and relaxed so that I can devote all my attention to my book. My husband goes to bed earlier than I do, so when he hits the sack, I can have this room all to myself without being distracted which is exactly how I like it :)

I enjoy reading outside because I love sunlight and since my neighborhood is so quiet, I get to enjoy the sounds of the wind rustling the palm trees. **Oh the joys of living in Florida**

Vanessa
It was such a comfortable place to sit, relax, and read! It was freezing outside but there was a fireplace right next to the couch. It was so darn cozy!!
Can you tell us your top 5 books so we can enjoy them in our spots?
